DIRECT BUS TRANSFER

Moscow has 3 main airports: Domodedovo, Shremetyevo, and Vnukovo. Domodedovo and Vnukovo are placed at the south and Sheremetjevo at the north. So, Sheremetyevo is closer to Dubna which is placed 115 km to the north from Moscow. International flights are served in all three airports. As mentioned in our first circular, the Organizing Committee provides on main arrival (July 8) and departure (July 15) days the direct bus transfer between the airport Sheremetyevo and Dubna. The cost of this transfer is included into the registration fee. On July 8, the bus will depart at 20:00 from the terminal Sheremetyevo D. The trip to Dubna takes about 2 hours. The back trip Dubna - Sheremetyevo will start on July 15 at 06:30. Unfortunately, because of much longer distance and often traffic jams, we are not able to provide the bus transfer from/to airports Domodedovo and Vnukovo. An additional transfer service is possible in exceptional cases.

Meeting at the airport

All participants will be waited inside the terminal D near the exit gate by a conference representative. After passing the passport control and taking your luggage, please look for the announcement DUBNA-NANO2012

Taxi for Dubna

Be careful with using taxi in Moscow. Use only a registered taxi which has a taxi label at the car. The prices are unpredictable and usually much higher than in West Europe. To avoid unpleasant situations, always ask the driver to write the price (at least approximate) before starting the trip. If the driver does not tell the approximate price in advance, it is better not to use this taxi. If you need a bill, ask about this option in advance since quite often the bills are not provided. Please take into account that drivers and other people in service usually speak only Russian. So, to avoid any misunderstanding, please write your request in advance on the piece of paper and ask for the written response.

In Dubna

Please take into account that Dubna has 2 railway stations: "Bolshaya Volga" and terminal "Dubna". Both are inside the city and have a good bus/taxi connection with any part of the city. However, the terminal station "Dubna" is much closer to the Dubna hotel (~400 m) where the participants will reside. Do not use a bus to get the hotel from the terminal station "Dubna". Instead, it is much easier to get the hotel on foot or by taxi (60-70 rub). The taxi in Dubna is cheap and safe.

HOTELS IN MOSCOW

Hotels in Moscow are usually rather expensive. We recommend to look for the proper hotel and book the room yourself by internet (see e.g. HRS or Best Hotels Russia). Note that Moscow has a diverse metro transportation system. The metro is fast, safe and convenient (except of the peak time). So, it is not necessary to book hotel at the city center. A remote hotel can be also optimal if the metro station is nearby.
