Travel information

From the airport:

Transportation from Sheremetyevo-2 Airport (Moscow International) to Dubna will be provided by the Organizing Committee. Not later than 3 working days before arrival, participants wishing to be met should inform the Organizing Committee by fax or e-mail of their flight number, date and time of arrival.

The Driver of the shuttle transport from the Airport to Dubna will identify himself by a black-white poster in A4 format “DUBNA”. You shall wait for him in the arrival hall after passing passport and customs control with your luggage. Please ignore all the other Taxi drivers who want to persuade you to hire them! It might sometimes take a few minutes before you can make contact with your driver if he has to care also about other arrivals. In general the drivers speak only Russian, thus we often send a meeting person (student), who speaks English. After you have contact with driver/meeting person, they will guide you to a place outside the arrival hall where you shall wait a few minutes until he brings the car into the pickup-area. From that point on the car ride Sheremetevo-Dubna will take about 1.5 hours under ideal traffic conditions. Vnukovo and Domodedovo take longer time. Note that transportation from Vnukovo and Domodedovo can be done only in exceptional cases. At the end of the ride, when you pass the welcome sign of the Science-Town Dubna, the driver might ask you where he has to drop you off. You shall answer “Gostiniza Dubna” (Ulica Vekslera). Once you have arrived at the hotel, there will be a poster of the town map (where to find the Institute) and welcome information about the program of the school.

From airport Domodedovo to Dubna:
