6th International Workshop on
Critical Point and Onset of Deconfinement

Attention!

All participants of the conference will be met an escort person with the plate "Dubna". You don't need to take a taxi or to try to get to Dubna by youself. You should find the escort person. If you cann't find it, give a call to mobile numbers +79060638586 (David Blaschke) or +79060772309 (Andrey Khvorostukhin).

Travel information

In order to reach Dubna from abroad, it is recommended to book flights to/from Moscow Sheremetevo airport since it is in the north of Moscow as Dubna is. Arriving at the other airports will result in longer and more expensive transportation between airport and Dubna and should best be avoided.

For participation in the CPOD conference the arrival day is August 22, as the scientific program will start on Monday morning 10 a.m.

We will organize a bus pickup for the participants . For the logistics, we would need your flight details: arrival time, flight number, and arrival terminal. Please mail this to cpod@theor.jinr.ru

Further informations will be distributed in a next roundmail, end of June/ beginning July and by updates of this website.

Individual arrival and departure

If you arrive to Dubna by yourself, then you should execute three steps: 1) to get from the airport to the Savelovsky railway station; 2) to get to Dubna; 3) to get to the hotel in Dubna. The following options are possible.

From the airport to the Savelovsky railway station:

From airport Domodedovo

The direct express train will get you to Pavelecky railway station in Moscow, see the attached file (pdf) with the time schedule and the web site www.domodedovo.ru/en/main/getting/1/aero/. The price of the ticket is 300 rub, trip takes 40-50 min, trains circulate every 20-30 minutes. The tickets can be bought in the airport building, in the book-office near the exit to the train platform.

Then you should use the subway (station "Paveleckaya" with the entrance inside the railway building, see the scheme of Moscow Subway (pdf)) and get to the Savelovsky railway station. The price of metro ticket is 26 rub, no payment for the luggage. The trip (with one transfer to another metro line) will take 20-30 min. The metro is save and convenient.

Be careful with using taxi in Moscow. Use only a registered taxi which has a taxi label at the car. The prices are unpredictable and usually much higher than in West Europe. To avoid unpleasant situations, always ask the price before the trip! If the driver does not tell the approximate price in advance, it is better not to use this taxi. If you need a bill, ask about this option in advance.

Please take into account that drivers and other people in service usually speak only Russian. So, to avoid misunderstanding, we advise to write your request in advance on the piece of paper and ask for the written response.

From airport Sheremetyevo

The direct air-express train circulates between Sheremetyevo and Belorusskiy railway station in Moscow, see the attached file (pdf) with the time schedule as well the site www.svo.aero/en/aeroexpress/. The trip takes 35 minutes. The ticket price is 300 rubles.

Then you should get by subway to the Savelovsky railway station (the scheme of Moscow Subway (pdf)), see description above

By train or bus from Moscow:

At the Savelovsky railway station you can take the direct train or bus Moscow-Dubna (price is 220-302 rub). See the attached file with the train (express, local) and bus time schedule (pdf) as well the site www.dubna.ru/95/

In Dubna:

Please take into account that Dubna has 2 railway stations: "Bolshaya Volga" and terminal "Dubna". Both are inside the city and have a good bus/taxi connection with any part of city. However the terminal station "Dubna" is much closer to the Dubna hotel (~400 m) where the participants will reside. Do not use a bus to get the hotel from the terminal station "Dubna". Instead, it is much easier to get the hotel on foot or by taxi (60 rub). The taxi in Dubna is cheap and safe.
