This write-up (>450 slides) was prepared with the LaTeX package lucassem.cls. It is a conspectus of the main part of the course except for the first two lectures, a sketch of the UHECR problem and several movies. The on-screen quality of the postscript file is much better than that of the pdf file.
Lecture 1: Preface, Historical Background | pps (15.3 MB) | pdf(5.97 MB) |
||||||||||||
Lecture 2: Observational Data on Primary CR Spectrum | pps (10.0 MB) | pdf (6.60 MB)
Lectures 1 and 2 include many figures (a few of them are animated) and thus were prepared as Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentations. The on-screen quality of the pdf files automatically converted from the ppt presentations is fair to middling but readable. Adobe® Reader®, version 7 is recommended (available from the Adobe web site at no cost). |
