Registration Procedure and Submission of Abstracts
Along with this Second Bulletin we are sending you the Abstract Form as a separate LaTeX file. In this file you have to insert your abstract in LaTeX (the file contains more instructions).Deadlines for returning Abstract Form: 20 July
After returning the completed file to us you will receive a confirmation of registration from us. The submitted and accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program/abstract booklet which will be distributed to the participants at the registration along with the conference material.
The Conference will be held at the Hotel of Yerevan State University.
Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is situated in mountains at a height of 950 -- 1200 meters above the sea level, on the bank of the river Hrazdan. The river flows from Lake Sevan, 50 km from Mt. Ararat of biblical fame. Its majestic peak and the rolling Ararat Valley are very much a part of Yerevan's landscape.
Yerevan has art galleries with very extensive collections of classical and modern art, concert halls, Opera house, all very close to University. Armenia is famous for its many historical monuments which are within 45min. - 1.5 hours driving distance from Yerevan. These are churches built in the 5th and 6th centuries, over 2 thousand year old temples, 3 thousand year old archaeological excavations of kingdom Urartu etc.
The climate in Yerevan in August is warm (28-32 degrees C), sunny and dry.
The conference fee covers eight days hotel accommodation in University Hotel and Hotel Erebuni (including breakfast and lunch), the cost of transportation from Yerevan airport and back, conference materials, coffee breaks, welcome party, two daily excursion (one with barbecue).Depending on the category of rooms in the University Hotel and Hotel Erebuni the conference fee is:
The conference fee for accompanying persons is US$ 150
- US$ 330 - (for one person) - double room (in a two - room block)
- US$ 370 - single room (in a two - room block)
- US$ 400 - (for one person) - double room
- US$ 450 - single room

Single and double rooms will be available in in University Hotel and Hotel Erebuni.
Yerevan is connected by regular daily flights from Moscow and St.Petersburg as well as by regular weekly flights from Amsterdam, Athens, Dubai, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Kiev, Paris, Teheran and Zurich. The time table of the international flights to Yerevan can be found at:
All participants are asked to inform the Organizing Committee not later than ten working days before arrival by E-mail or Fax the exact flight number, date and time of arrival.
In Yerevan airport "Zvartnoz" all participants will be met by the representatives of the Organizing Committee carrying the label SYMPHYS-10.
From the airport there is also a regular bus service (bus N 107) to the University Hotel or metro "Yeritasardakan".
IMPORTED NOTE:
You do not need to recieve Armenian visa before your travel and may get it in Yerevan airport upon your arrival. The cost of Armenian visa for 21 dyas is 30$US.
The publication instructions and size restriction for contributions will be given in the final announcement. All contributions will be reviewed but only a limited number will be selected for the Proceedings. The deadline for submission to the conference proceedings is 31 November 2003, however, to assure swift publication we encourage the participants to submit their manuscripts already during (or even before) the conference.
The cost of the Proceedings is not included in the conference fee.
