GENERAL INFORMATION

The Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research together with Centres and Institutes of the Helmholtz Association organizes the International Summer School "Nuclear Theory and Astrophysical Applications" (NTAA17). The school will be held at Dubna, Moscow Region, Russia, on July 10 - 22, 2017.

The Helmholtz International Summer School will be devoted to problems of theoretical nuclear physics and their astrophysical applications. The following topics will be included:

  • nuclear structure and reactions,
  • neutrinoless double β-decay,
  • superfluidity in nuclei and neutron stars,
  • terrestrial experiments for astrophysics,
  • neutrino interactions with nuclei / nuclear matter and supernovae,
  • condensation and phase transitions in dense matter.

The School will be held at the Conference hall of the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. July 10 is the arrival and registration day, July 22 is the departure day.

Working language will be English.

The hotel cost (including breakfast), coffee breaks, and social events are covered by the Organizing Committee. There will be limited funds for travel support.
