The International Conference

"Nuclear Structure and Related Topics"

The Conference will be held from June, 13 (Tuesday) to June, 17 (Saturday) 2006 in the Conference hall of the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. June, 12 is the arrival day. June, 18 is the departure day.

The participants will be registered on June, 12 from 6.00 p.m. till 9.00 p.m. in the "Dubna" Hotel and on June, 13 from 8.30 a.m. till 9.45 a.m. in the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics. The Conference will be opened at 10.00 a.m. in the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics .

The Conference program will include a number of invited and oral talks covering topical aspects of the theory and experimental studies of nuclear structure and nuclear reactions. The talks with duration 30 min and 20 min will mainly present the results of original works. The list of speakers is nearly final and is provided below.

An overhead projector and a laptop projector will be available for presentation. The speakers who suppose to have a presentation using, e.g., MS PowerPoint are recommended to bring their own laptops. If you bring your laptop, please, inform us well in advance.

Speakers who like to bring a CD-ROM only are kindly asked to contact the Organizing Committee to be sure that the talk can be presented using a software available at the Organizing Committee. If you bring your file to be used at our laptop, make sure that the fonts are correctly saved. To do that, go to Tools→Options, and enable Embed True Type Fonts.

A Booklet of abstracts submitted to the Organizing Committee will be distributed to all participants during the conference registration. We are pleased to inform you that the Proceedings of NSRT06 will be published in English as special issues of the Russian journal "Yadernaya Fizika" devoted to nuclear and particle physics (simultaneous English language translation of the journal - "Physics of Atomic Nuclei" - is available from Pleiades Publishing, Inc. and distributed worldwide by Springer).

The Proceedings will include manuscripts of all talks at the conference. Each participant will receive one copy of the issues "Yadernaya Fizika".

The the Rules for authors, General guidelines for preparation of papers as well as a copyright transfer agreement form can be found and downloaded at the website http://www.maik.ru/eng/support/index.htm. Moreover, all these materials will be distributed by the Organizing Committee.

From the airport: Transportation from Sheremetyevo-2 Airport (Moscow International) to Dubna will be provided by the Organizing Committee. Not later than 3 working days before arrival, participants wishing to be met should inform the Organizing Committee by fax or e-mail of their flight number, date and time of arrival.

By train from Moscow: From Savelovsky Railway Station: Next to it there is an underground station with the same name (Savelovskaya). The train schedule is available at the Conference website.

By bus from Moscow: There is a bus station near the Savelovsky Railway Station. The time-table of the buses from Moscow to Dubna is available at the Conference website.

Please, note, that minor changes in the schedules are possible.

The Conference fee (including the proceedings, transportation from Moscow airport (Sheremetyevo-2) to Dubna and back, hotel accommodation at Dubna from June, 12 till June, 18 2006, the coffee breaks, welcome party, reception, and social events) is 450 euros. The fee for accompanying persons is 200 euros. The fee will be accepted in cash (euros) only during the registration of participants upon arrival (credit cards, personal or travellers cheques are not acceptable).

The accommodation is organized in Hotel "Dubna". The breakfast is included into accommodation.

Excursion to old Russian town Sergiev Posad with its famous 500-year-old Trinity-Sergiev Monastery as well as a short board trip along the Volga river are planned.
