BIOGRAPHY OF D. N. ZUBAREV
(1917 - 1992)

born Nov. 27, 1917, Moscow , Russia.
died July 29, 1992, Moscow , Russia.

Professor D. N. ZUBAREV studied physics at the Moscow State University. He was the Diploma student of
Professor N. N. BOGOLIUBOV, who was also promotor of his Ph.D. Since then he was the member of the Bogoliubov's Group and his closest pupil and collaborator.

Professor D. N. ZUBAREV worked all his life at Steklov Mathematical Institute, Moscow .

In 1960 Professor D. N. ZUBAREV published the review article entitled:
"Double-time Green Functions in Statistical Physics",
Usp. Fiz. Nauk, 71 (1960) pp.71-116 (Sov. Phys. Uspekhi, 3 (1960) pp.320-45).
CITED more than 1800 (on 06.2012).

This paper became soon the CITATION CLASSIC.

He was invited by N. N. BOGOLIUBOV as the second Head of the Statistical Mechanics and Theory of Condensed Matter Group at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics ( now Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics), Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna.

Professor D. N. ZUBAREV worked at JINR during 1969 - 1971. He stimulated the development of researches in the fields of statistical mechanics, especially in the nonequilibrium statistical mechanics.
