FIRST INFORMATION BULLETIN

The IV International Symposium `Dubna Deuteron--97" will be held at Dubna (Russia) on July 2-5, 1997. The Symposium is organized by the High Energy Laboratory in collaboration with the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

Scientific Program

Experimental and theoretical studies in the following areas will be covered:

The scientific program will consist of invited talks (up to 40 minutes each),original contributions (up to 20 minutes each) and will provide sufficient time for discussions. The scientific program is scheduled for four days.

Official language of the Symposium is English.

A total of about 100 scientists from the scientific centers of different countries are supposed to attend. The Symposium fee is US $450 and for accompanying persons - US $200. The fee will cover hotel accommodation, social program, transportation from and to the airport, coffee and refreshment during the breaks, the welcome party and the banquet, as well as a copy of the Proceedings.

To arrange visa support participants are kindly requested to inform the Organizing Committee of their personal data (see Registration Form). The included Registration Form, duly filled up, has to be sent before June 1, 1997 to:

The final circular containing further information and a more detailed scientific program of the Symposium is supposed to be mailed in May, 1997.

The Symposium Proceedings will be published. The page limitations of invited and contributed papers are 12 pages and 6 pages, respectively. The submitted manuscripts will be considered by the Organizing Committee in order to review their scientific contents.

Instructions for typing the abstracts: each abstract should be typewritten using TeX with [12pt]{article} style. The entire abstract should be typed on a sheet measuring 26.5 cm by 18 cm. The title should be typed intirely in capital letters on top of the page without underlining. The name(s) of the authors(s) should be typed on the next line in upper and lower case type preceded by initials. The name of the institution should be typed on separate line in upper and lower case type. The abstract should follow afterwords. The abstract can be sent by E-mail.
